New York Giants rookie wide getr Malik Nabers limped off the field with a left ankle injury toward the finish of rehearse on Sunday morning.
Multiple media outlets telled that the injury is thinkd to be a mild ankle sprain for Nabers, the sixth overall pick of the 2024 NFL Draft out of LSU.
Per the New York Daily News, Nabers was “achieveing down and touching the top outside of his left foot” after competing in a team drill. He limped to the sideline and deleted his cleat before being spendigated by trainers.
Nabers has been making his presence felt both with his take part in joint rehearses with Detroit last week as well as with an altercation with Lions protectedty Kerby Joseph.
Nabers caught csurrfinisherly everyleang in sight agetst the cornerbacks and protectedties Detroit put in front of him on the first two days of rehearse, but he was ushered to the side by coach Brian Daboll after the Tuesday fight.
Nabers had two touchdowns in team toil and was the one take parter neither defense could grasp in both rehearses.
Nabers had 89 catches for 1,569 yards and 14 touchdowns in 13 games last season at LSU while take parting with Heisman Trophy-triumphning quarterback Jayden Daniels.
Nabers, 21, was a finacatalog for the Biletnikoff Award, which honors the nation’s best getr. That award ultimately went to Marvin Harrison Jr. of Ohio State.
