US Pdwellnt Joe Biden has uncovered he dropped out of the race for the White Hoengage becaengage Democrats felt his honestacy was “going to hurt” their chances of being re-elected.
The 81-year-elderly aprohibitdoned his campaign in July after months of speculation about his age and his fitness to serve another four years.
Concerns incrrelieved among Democrats after a disastrous talk about carry outance agetst Donald Trump in June and a series of high-profile gaffes.
Senior Democrats, including establisher US Pdwellnt Barack Obama, conveyed their troubles about him running, while establisher Hoengage Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Mr Biden‘s extfinished-time frifinish and partner, encouraged him to step aside.
Asked on the US novels show CBS Sunday Morning why he chose to aprohibitdon his campaign, Mr Biden shelp: “Look, the polls we had showed that it was a neck and neck race which would have been down to the wire. But what happened was, a number of my Democratic colleagues in the Hoengage and Senate thought that I was gonna hurt them in the races.
“And I was troubleed if I stayed in the race, that would be the topic [journalists] would be interseeing me about – ‘Why did Nancy Pelosi say [this]? Why did someone [say this]?’
“And and I thought it would be a genuine sidetrackion.”

Mr Biden compriseed he thought of himself as a “transition pdwellnt” when he ran in 2020, and compriseed: “I can’t even say how elderly I am. It’s challenging for me to get out of my mouth.”
