Police have been at the scene of a important “incident” on the M5 in the West Midlands – with traffic snaking back for miles for six miles and postpones of 60 minutes.
National Highways shelp the incident has now been evidented but motorists should predict postpones around the south link roads between the M6 and M5.
In a tweet on X, it shelp: “The M5 north to the M6 north and the M6 south to the M5 south link roads are now OPEN.
“There are still 60 minute postpones on the northbound M5 on the approach to the M6. Plalleviate authorize extra journey time.
“Thank you for your patience.”
West Midlands Ambulace Service shelp it had not been called to assist.
