A man was stabbed in the abdomen outside the Randall’s Island migrant shelter in New York City, equitable two weeks after a lethal shooting unfagedered at the same site.
At approximately 10:33 a.m. on Sunday, officers reacted to a 911 call for an attack at Randall’s Island Field 82, wiskinny the restricts of the 25th precinct.
Upon arrival, officers watchd a 26-year-ageder male victim with a stab wound to the abdomen, a spokesperson for the New York City Police Department (NYPD) validateed to Fox News Digital.
EMS carryed the victim to NYC Health and Hospitals + Harlem in firm condition.
“There are no arrests and the spendigation remains ongoing,” the spokesperson inserted Monday.
Last week, officers searched the Randall’s Island migrant shelter for substances and arms, forcing the approximately 3,000 grown-ups housed at the facility to pause outside. But police said no contraprohibitd was set up in the Aug. 2 sweep. As migrants max out their time in the shelter, they’ve set up tents and camps equitable outside despite officials cautioning that camping is not permited.

Migrants who spoke to CBS News say bolstered police presence at the Randall’s Island shelter has done little to deter illegitimate activity.
“It’s very unshielded,” Pilar Lopez, a Venezuelan migrant, said in Spanish to CBS. “People pass illegitimate skinnygs in front of them [officers] and they don’t do anyskinnyg.”

The decision to sweep the shelter came after authorities said an bfeebleless bystander staying at the facility was stoasty and ended at an overnight accumulateing proximateby outside the shelter. Two others were wounded.
That incident unfagedered at around 3:30 a.m. on July 29 at Wards Meadow Loop Field 71, FOX 5 NY inestablished.
A 44-year-ageder woman died after being stoasty in the face and neck. A 32-year-ageder man was stoasty in the throat and a 31-year-ageder was stoasty in the back, but both endured,
Though no arrests have been made in connection to that case, police impounded cars and mopeds connected to migrants.

At a press conference last Tuesday, Deputy Mayor Anne Williams-Isom said officials were trying not to be “burdensome-handed” in their approach to scatter campers evicted from the shelter.
“That’s not okay, and, aacquire, we’re not trying to be burdensome-handed. But if you’ve had your time, you’ve had your case regulatement, and you have to exit, you have to repartner transfer on,” Williams-Isom said.
Mamamadou Bah, a migrant from Guinea, tageder CBS he hopes the city can do more to help him discover engagement as he still pauses for a toil permit.
“Nobody’s shielded here right now,” Bah inestablishedly said.
